The very latest in European yacht design from the cooperation between designers Judel-Vrolijk & Co and the in-house engineers and boat builders at HanseYachts. The 545 heralded the beginning of the new 5 series from Hanse. The 545 is a very modern cruiser with potential for great speed. The powerful rig is easily handled due to the self tacking headsail which is intrinsic to the overall rig design. The tall tapered mast can be trimmed by finger tip hydraulic backstay control.
Setting trends, breaking rules – this is the principle that was followed in producing this magnificent yacht. Continually challenging the boundaries of production yacht development Hanse Yachts collect many design and innovation prizes. The 545 is again a completely new approach. The long but flattish cabin house with its “coach roof” design has its roots in classical yacht design but has been transformed to meet today’s requirements. The two cockpit areas in the back and in the middle deck combine perfectly for safe crew and guest areas. The overwhelming first impression is of vast, uncluttered deck area and a superyacht style cockpit.
The interior of the 545 is contemporary yet unique. A variable cabin concept allows each owner freedom to compose an interior to their personal taste. Vertical hull windows in the saloon bring a panoramic feel to the living space. Well proportioned and well placed nav table, galley and saloon living area meet the demands for extensive ocean cruising combined with the latest luxury.
